James Joshua Dossey is an associate attorney at Duffee + Eitzen, where he brings his dedication and passion for family law to every case he handles. After earning his bachelor of arts in journalism from Baylor University, Josh pursued his legal education at Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, graduating with his law degree in 2021.
Josh actively participates in several professional organizations, including the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section, Dallas Bar Association, Dallas LGBT Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, Annette Stewart American Inn of Court, and the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association. His commitment to the legal community is also reflected in leadership roles such as Secretary of the Dallas LGBT Bar Association. Additionally, he contributes his expertise as the Director of Communications for the State Bar of Texas LGBT Law Section for the 2023-2024 term. In recognition of his contributions to the legal field, Josh has been honored as a Best Lawyers: One to Watch and a Texas Rising Star.
